Description
Eleven Continental and American Sterling Silver and Silverplate Objets de Vertu and Miniature Articles, Late Nineteenth-Early Twentieth Century. Comprising a German wedding cup in the form of a woman holding a swinging cup, Ludwig Neresheimer & Co., Hanau, Chester assay import marks of an acorn and two leaves, "925" and date letter "D" for 1904, and importer's mark "BM" for Berthold Muller; a German coal box on legs, Hanau, crescent and crown mark, "800" and indecipherable mark; a German coal hod, George Roth & Co., Hanau, 1891-1906; a fish on a grill, possibly Gebruder Dingeldein, Hanau, single mark under the fish's tail; a cooking pot on burner stand, Dutch single sword guarantee marks on the cover and bowl, maker's mark "I (?) * M" under the burner; a Swedish cup with flowerhead handle terminal, date marked "M8" for 1938; a similar cup, unmarked; a French baluster coffeepot, maker's mark of "C" and three stars into a diamond, and additional marks under the base, boar's head guarantee mark exterior of the neck; an American brandy warmer with treen handle, Whiting Mfg. Co., factory mark, "STERLING" and pattern "4821; and a sauce pan with treen handle, probably John C. Moore & Son, marked "m" and "STERLING HANDMADE;" the silverplate comprising a single candlestick, unmarked.6.41 troy oz. total (including treen handled brandy warmer and sauce pan, which is .57 troy oz.)Wedding cup: H: 3 in., W: 2.375 in., D: 1.25 in.
