LONDON/ NICE CANNES VICHY/ number indecipherable," the latch stamped "70 CHAMPS ELYSEES/ PARIS/ LOUIS VUITTON/ LONDON/ 149. NEW BOND STREET," leather side handles, the interior lid with a quilted lining, fitted with one tray with straps, within three covered compartments on the left and two narrow vertical covered compartments on the right, the lid affixed with a "UNITED STATES ARMY/ BAGGAGE ROOM" label handwritten "COL. C. PARKER/ SAN FRANCISCO," and a printed "THE HART HOTEL/ BATTLE CREEK MICHIGAN" label typed "Mrs. Cortlandt Parker/ Ritz-Carlston [sic]/ Boston, Mass," on wheels; with one key.
