Description
Pair of Worcester Porcelain Teacups and Saucers, 1772-75. Each painted in the center with an urn issuing flowering branches within a roundel edged in turquoise dots, the fluted sides surrounded by butterflies and clusters of fruit, within a "gros bleu" border gilt with interlocking C-scrolls and a lappet edge, one teacup and both saucers each with open crescent mark in underglaze-blue. Teacup: H: 1.75 in., W: 4 in., D: 3.25 in. Saucer: H: 1.125 in., Diam: 5.375 in. Provenance: From the collection of Lady Beauchamp, Woodborough House, Bath, England.
