Purvis Young, American (1943-2010). Handmade book of mixed media original drawings, some signed, using paint, ink and crayon on scrap paper, attached to pages of a book or ledger. He used unconventional materials and objects in the style of found art with imperfections and in the late 1960's began creating thousands of drawings that he would paste in discarded books and magazines.
