Finely carved in the round and in openwork with a monkey kneeling beside a gnarled branch bearing smaller peaches, its young playfully clambering for the ripe fruit, the stone is of even yellow tone, all supported on a finely carved and pierced hardwood stand. Hardwood box. Qing Dynasty period.
