The circular three-tired box embellished on the top cover with the scene of a foreigner figure dancing with a lion. The tiered box sides inlaid to depict alternating lotus floral scrolls and mythical beasts, all in materials including mother-of-pearl, agate, turquoise, coral, soapstone, and other hardstones. Qing Dynasty period.
