2 7/8" diam, 1 7/8" wide spool, German silver, marked "Abbey & Imbrie N.Y." with the early crossed hook logo. With an unusual sliding click switch on the tail plate side, a feature seldom found on early ball handle reels, screw-off end cap and cast nickel silver foot with a number "1" stamp on the underside, a VG+/Ex- condition reel with age appropriate patina.
