Item Details

Description

This vintage 3/2 rod is made with Calcutta bamboo, and features red intermediates, black wraps over the guides, orange agate tip tops and stripper, narrow 3/16" cork rings, and a full nickel silver reel seat with 2 raised rails and down-sliding band. It is stamped: "SUPERB, Trademark, Reg. U.S. Pat. Off.". The handle is heavily soiled and over-coated with varnish. The varnish shows blemishes from use. It comes with an early dark olive bag and tube which fits into a tattered canvas sack.
