Item Details

Description

Earliest version, dating to 1902, 3 3/8" in length, utilizing the early Mickey Mouse style front propeller, marked Wm Shakespeare Jr., Kalamazoo, Mich. and PAT APPLD FOR. Condition on this very rarely seen frog is about VG-/VG with moderate wear to the painted finish, one foot missing the other reglued. Still in better condition than most of the scant few known and retaining its original rear rubber weed guard. An important frog for the serious Shakespeare collector.
