An antique Thermo-Cautery quack medical doctors device in a fitted hard case. This boxed set includes a bottle labeled "Benzine" "Grofscherzogl Hofapotheke Karlsruhe", as well as a glass lamp. Both bottles have "COLLINS & Co" embossed on the side and have chromed metal tops. The set also contains six metal instrument accessories and what appears to be a sphygmomanometer squeeze bulb device. The interior of the boxes hinged lid is lined in purple velvet, with gold font inscriptions of "Mon Cherriere Collin & Co Paris" and "Thermo-Cautere De Papuelin". Bottle measurements range from 4" x 2" x 2" to 2.5" x 3" x 3". Provenance: This item originated from a distinguished auction event hosted by Sotheby's in October 1995, designated as LOT 3648/3 at the Neues Schloss (New Castle), Baden-Baden, Germany. It was a part of the royal collection belonging to Margrave Max von Baden (1933-2022), a prominent figure in European aristocracy and the first cousin of Prince Charles III.
