An independently-decorated Coalport cabinet plate, dated 1805
Naïvely painted with sailors rowing away from a large warship, probably HMS Victory, a band of pink and black seaweed between gilt borders, the reverse inscribed 'Mary Tippet fecit 1805 Lord Nelson 21 October', 21cm diam

The plate is in overall good condition. Any small areas of rubbing or loss to the gilding are visible in the catalogue photo and include most of gilding on the sharp edge of the rim. There are no chips or cracks, tiny shallow losses to the footrim having occurred during manufacture and of no significance.
