Condition
The canvas is unlined. Examination under Ultra-Violet light reveals a few tiny scattered retouchings to the sky, sea and the outer edges. A small area of retouching beneath the central boat.
There is frame rubbing to all four outer edges and a light surface scuff to the centre right edge. One small repaired tear beneath the central boat with a corresponding patch (verso). Several tiny discreet paint losses present, particularly visible to the sky. There are some scattered lines of very faint craquelure visible. There is a layer of surface dirt visible.
In our opinion, the work is in overall good condition.
