Thurston, Eugene Bonfanti (1896-1993), Signal Peak, 1948, oil on canvas, signed and dated lower left, additionally titled and signed on the verso, 24 x 36 inches, framed 33 x 45 inches. Signal Peak, also known as Guadalupe Peak, is the highest natural point in Texas. It is located in Guadalupe Mountains National Park, and is part of the Guadalupe Mountains range in southeastern New Mexico and West Texas.
