A south German silver mounted serving knife with ibex-horn handle, 16th centuryFlat, double-edged blade with blunt point. Silver mounting with traces of gold-plating. On both sides of the ferrule a finely engraved banded inscription with the monogram "ROF". Grip of ram's horn with inlays of twisted silver wire. Silver pommel cap with replaced tang button. Length 42.5 cm.Condition: II +
