early 19th century, polychrome reverse painted glass panels, including Charlotte and The First Interview of Werter and Charlotte, after prints published circa 1782, depicting scenes from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's The Sorrows of the Young Werther, surrounded by a starred cobalt border within a giltwood frame, not signed.
