BIOGRAPHY:
Vyacheslav Rassokhin was born on January 24, 1937 in Moscow. He graduated from the Moscow Art School on Krasnaya Presnya (1955), the art and graphic department of the Moscow Pedagogical Institute (1961). Member of the joint committee of the trade union of graphic artists (1961), member of the Professional and Creative Union of Artists and Graphic Artists of the International Federation of Artists of UNESCO. "Soviet writer", "Foreign literature", "Children's literature". From 1961 to 1986 worked in book and magazine illustration at leading publishing houses in Moscow ("Young Guard", "Soviet Writer", "Foreign Literature", "Children's Literature").He was awarded diplomas for the best book design, as well as a diploma "For contribution to Russian culture" (exhibition "Millennium Russia", Moscow, 2003). Vyacheslav Rassokhin is a representative of the school of classical Russian realism. The paintings clearly reveal the original creative character of the artist, his passionate love for Russian antiquity. He skillfully combines deep knowledge of the material culture of Russia in the 17th-18th centuries and modern ideas about that time.His works are located in banks, galleries, companies and private collections in Russia, England, USA, Greece, Finland, Brazil, Canada.
