Prideaux John Selby (England, 1788 – 1867) ornithologist , botanist and natural history artist. Edward Lear (England, 1812–1888) artist, illustrator, musician, author and poet, who is known mostly for his literary nonsense in poetry and prose and especially his limericks, a form he popularised. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it. This piece is plate 2 Alexandrine ring Parakeet native of the Island of Ceylon. Approx. 20 tall x 16.5 wide x 3 deep inches.
