Description
A very interesting collection of postcards sent from Egypt, 1916-18, and stamped with censor and field post office stamps, from a Will/Billy to a Mr A. Tudor of Wolverhampton. They contain brief messages from a soldier to, possibly a family member. The collection is in a large bound album. Many are stamped N.M.Y. and are marked in ink," on active service". British forces were strategically based in Egypt, during and long before WW1. Defence of the Suez Canal and a strategic location for operations into Gallipoli, Palestine, and the surrounding area. The album has wear to the spine. Cards are in very good condition generally.
