Description

A collection of roughly 50 black and white photographs from the late 1800s to 1915 with various subject matter including Frisco Railroad, George A. Hancock, and various locations. Hancock was the assistant superintendent of machinery of the Santa Fe and superintendent of motive power for the St. Louis?San Francisco Railway/Frisco System for many years. Includes a number of portrait photographs of Hancock throughout the years and a few feature his signature. Other photographs show Iron Chief Mine, Cotton Wood Springs, railroad officials, train depot, mountain and lake views, Glenwood Springs 1905, and more. Please be aware there is a graphic photo of four men that had been hanged inside a barn. Group varies in condition showing standard to moderate signs of wear with foxing discoloration, worn edges, stain spots, and tears. See photos for best description.
