Stanton Macdonald-Wright (1890–1973), an American artist and co-founder of the Synchromism movement, which was an early form of abstract art that focused on the use of color to create rhythmic compositions. Born in Charlottesville, Virginia, Macdonald-Wright studied art in Los Angeles and Paris, where he was influenced by the modernist movements of the early 20th century.Macdonald-Wright's Synchromist paintings were characterized by their vibrant colors, dynamic compositions, and emphasis on the relationship between color and music.
