Provenance: The consignor states “The painting of Beatrice Cenci was acquired along with the Maison-Deniere Poseidon Clock (Lot 1263), from Enrique, one of the members of the noble Spanish Alba family from Seville Spain. A mutual friend, Florence Knoll of Knoll Associates, was my contact with Enrique. These items were family possessions that he had”.
