A signed letter from Berninghaus to Mr. Perry R. Hanson, on the artist's Taos letterhead and dated June 15, 1947, is affixed to the reverse.

Oil on board. Surface dirt and discolored varnish. Surface drips lower center. Two diagonal scratches with scattered losses right center and lower right. A few scattered losses lower right. Fine, stable crazing in the clouds upper center and upper right. Thinly painted in areas. Under UV light examination, no evidence of retouch. No further condition issues to report.

In a gilt molded frame. The frame with losses and cracks to the molding layer.
