Description
A Gordon Buehrig design concept for a vehicle called the Buehrig Royale. With a callback to the Bugatti Royale, the Buehrig Royale was intended to be a luxury limousine built on the chassis of a General Motors motorhome. The largest change was that the Buehrig designed body was much more aerodynamic allowing for a large yet efficient vehicle. The concept went as far as a clay model, sketches, and a written proposal. Included in this offering is the original clay model, two color concept sketches, and a binder outlining the ideas behind the vehicle and how it could be practically built. The clay model is starting to show its age with some structural cracking as well as some chipped and broken areas of the rear spoiler / wing. Due to the fragile nature of the model we do not feel that it could be safely transported via a ground carrier. We would strongly recommend this being picked up at our Lafayette Indiana warehouse. This is another one of those unique offerings that gives insight to the design mind of Gordon Buehrig and also shows one of his creations coming off of the drafting table and into a physical form.Items in this lot are from the Richard Kughn estate and a part of the Carail collection.
