Jacobethan-style Carved and Parquetry Oak Library Table, early 20th century. Rectangular top inlaid with pieced diamond pattern inside a milled foliate border, a joined apron containing side-hung drawer constructed entirely of oak with the front intaglio-carved and pounce-decorated with band of various rosettes, the motif recurring on apron stretchers and the opposite rail, all raised on blocked, turned, and carved legs ending in bun feet, joined by canted stretchers and cross rail, the base elements embellished with ebonized surfaces and applied cockbead molding, 99cm wide, 60cm deep, 73cm high (39 3/8in wide, 24 3/4in deep, 29 3/8in high).
