Pair of Chinese Ming Dynasty Period Pierced Dragon motif double doors Huanghuali Cabinets. The Cabinet is made of the first-class hardwood, huge rectangular with pair panel doors, tall. The box is mounted with ruyi-shaped fittings, lock plate and the upper surface carved with open work Pixiu dragon. The whole supported on legs of rectangles square section joined by stepped stretchers on hoofed foot. The Huanghuali wood displays a dense hardwood, with deep-brown strikes over golden-black shades tone and translucent shimmering surface with abstractly figured patterns and sweet fragrance of huali distinguishes it from the similar appearing but pungent-adored hongmu. It is intact, with exquisite mortise-tenon technique.
