Description

Large, hand painted porcelin inkwell by George Dreyfus, Paris, circa 1900. Intricate painted design in black and red with gold accents of Japanesque dragon and flowers,. Impressed marks under glaze on bottom: "G.D. Paris, Depose", measures 3 5/8 in wide x 4 3/4 in. height, missing original ink insert. Condition: overall in good antique condition, porcelin in good shape, missing ink insert(easily replaced), bronze hinge working but with old repairs. Rare find and presents nicely.
