A group of four S.P.s of prominent German soldiers, includes: HANNES TRAUTLOFT (1912-1995) Luftwaffe ace with 58 kills in 560 sorties, a Knights Cross recipient, military advisor and Condor Legion pilot during the Spanish Civil War. Vintage S.P. 4 x 6 in. b/w, a real-photo postcard of Trautloft in the cockpit, signed at middle. Contrast very light. WITH: HEINZ MACHER (1919- 2001) Waffen-SS officer and Nazi official awarded the Knights Cross with Oak Leaves, served as the second personal assistant to Heinrich Himmler. S.P. 3.5 x 5 in. b/w, a vintage image showing Macher in the field, very faintly signed. WITH: MAXIMILIAN VON EDELSHEIM (1897-1994) German general during World War II, recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords. S.P. 3 x 5 in. b/w, a reproduction of a war-date image, boldly signed at bottom, and WILHELM MEENDSEN-BOHLKEN (1897 - 1985) German vice admiral and recipient of the Knight's Cross, Commander-in-chief of the German Naval Commando in Italy. S.P. 3 x 4 in. b/w, a reproduction of a vintage image, faintly signed at bottom. Four pieces.
