The title page is twice marked ‘Restricted’ and stamped ‘Return to Engineering Office’. This manual covers all aspects of the twin-engine fighter aircraft, including: dimensions, loading bombs, cleaning, reassembly, ground operations, special tools and equipment, major components and installations, alloy treatments, and much more. Several diagrams support the detailed text throughout. The cover is heavily foxed, though the interior pages appear to be in fine condition. The Northrop P-61 Black Widow operated effectively as a night fighter. The P-61B ‘Lady in the Dark’ was unofficially credited with the last Allied air victory before VJ Day on Aug. 14, 1945.
