Elaborate German K98 Police parade bayonet, 12.75 in. blade and 17 in. overall, with a staghorn grip fixed with two rivets. The nickel-finished brass pommel is in the shape of a stylized eagle’s head with a finely detailed crossguard depicting an oak leaf pattern and a nickel state police emblem firmly mounted at the center of the handle. Maker marked on the ricasso ‘W.K.C. WAFFENFABRIK SOLINGEN’. The blade is beautifully etched with floral patterns at either end, an NSDAP eagle and swastika at the center. The opposite side of the blade bears the name ‘Hauptm. K.-H. Firhna’. A few minor areas of discoloration on the blade, otherwise no flaws. Housed in a black leather scabbard with nickel throat and tip, and a black leather frog. Patina displayed at the throat and light cracking to the frog. Overall, very good.
