Vintage newspaper: Boston Evening Globe (first page and p. 16 attached), Aug. 8, 1945, bears the provocative headline: 'New Surrender Ultimatum Forecast: QUIT OR BE ATOMIZED', also: 'JAPS ADMIT DEVASTATION...Japs Brand U.S. Destroyer of Mankind...'. Also described is the first test explosion at Trinity, a first hand account with a sketch of the blast, as well as a sketch showing the bomb's tower and the locations of various scientists minutes before the bomb was exploded, including 'DR. OPPENHEIMER' and others. Trivial tears at the top margin, light toning.
