M31 Luftwaffe rucksack constructed of grey canvas, approx. 21 x 23 in., with the main compartment divided into three sections by cloth panels and closed with a drawstring and a flap with leather strap and buckle closure. Two patch pockets with strap closures appear on the front, and two leather shoulder straps with metal clasps are fitted to the rear. A leather panel on the back gives the date ‘1941’ though any maker’s mark has long since worn away. Shows expected wear to the leather, else in very good condition.
