Black Bakelite desk phone for use by the Wehrmacht. Mounted to the front is a panel bearing phonetic and pronunciation code and a panel beneath with the number ‘37’. Complete with battery pack connected by cloth-covered cord and a crank handle on the right side. A full-length crack at the front. Various waffenamts throughout. At the back of the top cover is a plate dated ‘1940’ while an internal mechanism is dated ‘1943’. The plate further indicates manufacture by Mix & Genest. All internal pieces are present.
