Military General Service AR Medal with eight clasps. 1793-1814. Awarded to William Chalmers of the 94th Regiment of Foot  (Scotch Brigade in 1794, renumbered as the 94th Regiment of Foot in December 1802 and disbanded in December 1818. Regiment was reformed in December 1823 and served until 1881 when it amalgamated with the 88th Regiment of foot to form the Connaught Rangers). Engraver: William Wyon. VICTORIA REGINA 1848, crowned head to left, engraver's name on truncation / TO THE BRITISH ARMY, queen standing on dais crowning Duke of Wellington; 1793-1814 in exergue. Edge inscription: WILLIAM CHALMERS, 94th FOOT. Clasps: TOULOUSE, ORTHES, NIVE, PYRENEES, VITTORIA, SALAMANCA, BADAJOZ, FUENTES D'ONOR. 44.69g, 98mm inc. ribbon.
