This vintage late 19th century French Argent medallion is superbly sculpted in relief with a serene scene of a man & child welcoming the dawn as it rises on the ocean's horizon. The artist G. Duper (1869 - 1909) immortalizes his art with the phrase "Quand tout change por toila nature la meme. Et le meme soleil se live sur res jours." In English this translates to "When everything changes nature is the same & the sun rises over your days." The medallion is in excellent condition & is a wonderful work of art !2 1/2" tall X 2" wide X 1/16" deep
