Description
A fine antique Indian 19th Century Mughal Sind or Oudh Tabar axe. Dates 1840 to 1860. The two toned crescent ceremonial battle axe or Tabar is fully covered with embossed floral reliefs. Such axes were often with screw out finial heels concealing a long, narrow, and sharp dagger. Used as a weapon for a rider on a horse.
