Description
Oil on canvas framed measurements: 89 X 79 canvas measurements: 73 X 61 cm. Between the 17th and 18th centuries it was very common to dress the most venerated images with garments adorned with precious stones and jewels in order to respect and update them at the same time in addition to highlighting them and adding the richness that their 'rank' of Sacred Image requires. Being venerated since the year 1200 it is known as one of the oldest Marian invocations made of wood and completely covered in silver except for the head and hands.
