GERMAN PORCELAIN LITHOPHANE LAMP SHADES, LOT OF TWO, each having a metal frame, comprising one example set with five panels including scenes depicting an amorous couple, a hunt, and a grandmother and child, and one example set with six panels including scenes such as children sleeping on Christmas Eve, a child feeding a goat, and a painted example featuring a young man with a monkey. Marks include impressed "PPM" and various numerals. Plaue Porzellan-Manufaktur, Plaue-on-Havel, Thuringia, Germany. Second half 19th century. 11 1/2" DOA, panels 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" (at bottom).

Very good to excellent condition, panels undamaged, some having light soiling; frames possibly slightly bent.
