Er studierte in Paris an der École des Beaux-Art und diente als Kriegsberichterstatter, der die Aktionen während des Ersten Weltkriegs zeichnerisch dokumentierte. Er fuhr mit solchen Berichten über die Zeit der Revolutionen in Ungarn in den Jahren 1918-1919 fort. Nach dem Zusammenbruch der ungarischen Sowjetrepublik lebte er in Weimar und München, kehrte aber nach einigen Jahren nach Ungarn zurück. - Papierbedingt zart gebräunt (der Blattrand etw. stärker betroffen), wenige Tafeln im weißen Rand etw. fleckig. Insgesamt wohlerhaltenes u. vollständiges Exemplar mit kontraststarken OLithographien.With 32 orig. lithograph plates by the artist. 32 fol. loosely inserted in 2 orig. wrappers in orig. wing-folder with cover vignette (rubbed and bumped, somewhat stained, with light margins and creases). - The lithographs each numbered, dated and signed in the stone. With the artist's signature in ink on one of the wrappers. Shown are depictions from the work of the American Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) in Hungary after the Second World War. - István Zádor was a Hungarian graphic artist and painter. He studied in Paris at the École des Beaux-Art and served as a war correspondent, documenting the actions during the First World War in drawings. He continued with similar reports on the period of the revolutions in Hungary in 1918-1919. After the collapse of the Hungarian Soviet Republic he lived in Weimar and Munich, but returned to Hungary after a few years. - Due to paper slightly browned (the margins a little bit more affected), a few plates somewhat stained in the white margin.
