19th C. Wood Carving of Dancing Boy, Burma. Measures approximately 37" tall. In good condition consistent with age and use. retains original receipts and certificate of authenticity from the shop "Angel" in Bangkok. Dated May of 2002. This item originates from the estate of John A. Williams, a distinguished philanthropist and renowned collector. Mr. Williams and his partner Dewitt Hart were influential members of San Francisco's art society and were celebrated for their discerning taste in modern, ethnographic, and fine art. Over the years, they hosted numerous exhibitions in their home, showcasing their prestigious collection to appreciative audiences. All proceeds of items from this estate benefit the Hart Williams Rainbow Fund, a nonprofit working with the LGBTQIA+ community in the San Francisco Bay Area.
