ENGLISH SAILOR'S "WOOLIE" NEEDLEWORK NAUTICAL PICTURE, depicting a Man-of-War frigate flying a British Royal Navy flag. Housed under glass in its likely original frame with gilt-liner. Mid 19th century. 18" x 24" sight, 23" x 28 1/2" OA.

Provenance:

From a Shenandoah Valley of Virginia private collection.

Condition

Very good as-found condition, some small losses at the edges, above sails, and to the upper left corner, stain at the upper left corner, minor marring to the frame.
