ENGLISH CHIPPENDALE FOLDING CAMPAIGN CHAIR, mahogany, featuring serpentine crest rail with shaped ears, elaborate carved and pierced splat, two short shaped upholstered arms with brass tacks and scrolled bracket supports, the base is hinged on the sides which allows the front to fold back creating a compact chair for traveling. Likely British. Early 19th century. 34 1/4" HOA, 20" WOA, 17" DOA when open.

Condition
Very good condition overall, scattered minor finish wear; slip seat is an old replacement, and one small section of the splat is likely an old replacement.
