Offered here for your consideration is a unique Navajo basket by Zonnie Bowsley. This intriguing basket offers the charm of both tradition and uniqueness. It features the classic red, black, and white step pattern, while exhibiting a distinctive shape. Traditionally, the Navajo Wedding Basket is used for the wedding or other important events of ceremonies. Add this stunning basket to your collection and bid now!
Provenance - from the Blair family estate who owned the Red Mesa and Kayenta Trading Posts on the Navajo reservation dating back to the first half of the 1900s.
MAKER: Zonnie Bowsley (not marked, but identified by the Blair family as to who the weaver was).
APPROX AGE: Vintage (meaning anywhere from the 1930s to 1970s).
SIZE: This basket measures 14 inches wide x 16 3/4 inches long x 2 1/4 inches deep.
CONDITION: Good for its age, normal wear and fading expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
HANDLING: There will be an $8 handling / packaging fee for shipping this lot.
SHIPPING: The actual cost of postage will be added on top of the handling charges.
