Available here for your consideration is a variety group of Military bits and spurs. The brass bit has a tag stating it is a French military curb bit, the same style as used by the Napoleon Calvary. The spurs are also very utilitarian in their design. One appears to be a screw-out neck spur and another a patent box spur. MAKER: Metal bit stamped with what looks like BLTRIUNF. See pictures for details. Spurs with buckles stamped ENGLAND. Smallest spurs stamped 1903.
APPROX AGE: Antique (meaning made prior to the 1930s).
SIZE: Bits measure approx: The mouths measures 5 inches wide, and are 8 inches and 8 1/2 inches long overall. Spurs measure approx: The heel openings measure between 2 inches and 3 inches, the band width measures between 1/4 inches and 3/8 inches and the shanks measure between 1 3/4 inches and 1 3/8 inches long overall.
