Item Details

Description

This is a stunning postal scale from Samuel Turner Senior. It is c1880 and is of brass. Pan is engraved with postage rates for letter weights and weight pan is simple, all balancing on a tree shaped center. The base appears oak with cut outs for the weights, which appear to be all present. Brass is engraved with STS Trade Mark and Warranted Accurate. Overall approx measures 5" x 8" x 4" tall.

Condition

Overall appears in excellent condition. Typical wear to engraving from use and age.
