This lot consists of a hand painted Composition - Mixed media on paper in the style of the painter ARSHILE GORKY.American painter of Armenian origin.He was born on April 15, 1904 in Khorkom, Armenia.In 1920, Gorky (whose name was Vosdanig Adoian) emigrated to the United States and, after several years of study, settled in New York in 1925.His early work clearly shows influences from Pablo Picasso. After 1939, he felt more identified with the European surrealists and the work of Kandinsky and Joan Miró.
