Up for auction is three Samovar Russian Imperial Tea Pots. Samovar, Russian for "self-brewer," originated in Russia and the Middle East in the 19th century. Sets from this brand are considered to be rare and difficult to find. This auction includes:
(1) Samovar Imperial Russian Brass Tea Pot
(1) Samovar Imperial Russian Tea Pot (Small Spout)
(1) Samovar Imperial Russian Pea Pot (Large Spout)
Condition varies from piece to piece, but all show general age and wear for 19th century tea sets. The tea pot with the large spout has a broken handle (broken off at the base), but the other have intact parts. The insides are slightly rusted from use over the years and can be easily cleaned. Dimensions vary, but the tallest tea pot is 14.5" x 9" and the weight is 4.5 LBS.
