A Pair of Exquisite and Dated porcelain painting of Republic Period (1927 AD). With poem and painter’s mark (Liu Yu Chen劉雨岑), dated Din Mo year (丁卯1927), when the artist was young. The style of these paintings differs somewhat from that of his later works. With high quality, fine and heavy hardwood frames. Liu Yu Chen was one of the most accomplished porcelain painters of the Republic Period and one of the “Eight Friend of Zhu Hill”, specializing in bird and flowers. His early dated works are very rare. 45.3 x 18.6 cm. From Dr. Robert I-San Lin (87 years old), a senior Chinese artwork appraiser, whose grandfather was a major Chinese antique dealer in early 1900s. 稀有的劉雨岑早年瓷畫一對。佈景謹嚴，自右上角向左下延伸。樹枝飄搖，飛鳥張翅，動態十足且傅神。依國畫傳統，並加詩句。丁卯年是1927。劉氏是珠山八友之一。精於花鳥。這是他精品。由於他名氣大，市上有仿他的作品。但仿品大都缺傳統國畫風格，且粗枝大葉，缺動態。更多仿品只有瓷版沒有木框。此對畫的木框及掛鈎精緻，所用的木是重且硬而細的，非一般低等框。 Dimensions: 17.7" x 7.3"
