Ismail Bey and Mehmed Pasha were Veli Pasha of Thessaly's children, and grandchildren of Ali Pasha of Ioannina. Mehmed Pasha was entrusted by all to govern Parga. Both Ismail and Mehmed were executed at the orders of the Sultan for insubordination against the Sublime Porte.
