In 1959, Madeleine Albright graduated from Wellesley College, an all-women's college in Massachusetts. She often spoke about her affection of the school and for her gratitude for the friends she made there and for the knowledge she acquired while there. She remained in touch with her alma mater and remained an active alumni throughout her life. At her 50th class reunion, she announced that Wellesley was establishing Albright Institute to shape the next generation of global leaders.
