Description
Two Civil War period Carte de Visite of General McClellan and General Gillmore. Gillmore's artillery tactics were responsible for destroying Fort Sumter and was one of the first to have integrated troops. The 54th Massachusetts on Battery Wagner outside Charleston later became the subject of the movie GLORY.
